Tank Fills + Service
G+S Watersports has a highly sophisticated air system. Two
electric compressors and a multi-line fill station allow us to
fill up to eight cylinders at once. Air tests indicate that our
large filter system consistently produces refills that rank
among the purest in the country. Our cooling tanks keep the
filling process cool and smooth!
When Tobermory's clean air is processed through our
state-of-the-art compression and filtration equipment, you can
be assured of the purist air fills available anywhere!
Larger groups can establish air and
Nitrox accounts with G+S Watersports. Please enquire
about this time and money-saving programme.

G+S Watersports can provide Nitrox
fills available while you wait. Instruction in the use of these
gases is also available. We provide training up to Tri-mix. All
fills are done by certified gas blenders. No need to drain your
tank, we have a Haskal Gas Booster Pump.

Accredited Air Station
- We meet or exceed CSA Standard Z180.1 purity
requirements.
- We will NOT fill any tank past the designated pressure.
- All tanks MUST have current VIP and Hydro.
- Note: G+S does not fill any tanks made prior to
1989 due to their unsafe nature, the safety of our customers
and employees, and insurance restrictions.
Services
G+S will help you to ensure your equipment is safe and in compliance with
requirements. Once we perform the following tests on your equipment, we
will put certification right onto your tanks so that you have the information
available to you at all times.
Visual Tank Inspection
Visual Tank Inspections promote safety in the care and maintenance of
high-pressure scuba cylinders. G+S has staff fully certified in the proper
handling, filling and inspection techniques of scuba cylinders, including the
identification of the various defective conditions which could result in
cylinder failure.
NOTE: Visual inspections must be done once per year. However, for
cylinders in heavy use (for example, those filled five or more times a week,
manufacturers recommend a visual inspection every four months.
Eddy Current Testing
An eddy current test is required every year. G+S has staff who
are fully certified to perform and approve your tanks as well as check your
other equipment to ensure you are always safe.
Hydrostat Testing
You are required to have your tank Hydrostat tested every five years.
G+S also does Hydrostat testing.
Note: If you are bringing your own tanks, G+S does not fill any tanks
made prior to 1989 due to their unsafe nature, the safety of our customers and
employees, and insurance restrictions.
Nitrox, Trimix, and Deco Procedures
G+S has staff fully trained and certified for taking care of your nitrox
needs, trimix needs and for doing decompression dives. Please just let us
know what you need and we have the expertise to assist you.
